Candace Bailey

Candace Bailey is assistant band director at Shawnee Mission North High School. Previous to this appointment, Ms. Bailey attended the University of Kansas where she participated in the KU Marching Band, Men’s Basketball Band, Wind Ensemble and Tuba/Euphonium Consort. She studied privately with Professor Scott Watson. She has taught a private studio of piano, trumpet and euphonium players. From 2005-2006, she was the President Elect of Sigma Alpha Iota Music Fraternity for Women. In the Spring of 2007, she student taught at Shawnee Mission Northwest High School and Trailridge Middle School with Doug Talley. She graduated in 2007 with a bachelor’s degree in music education.
